La Storta Senior School

The Vice Principal and Head of Senior School is Mr Adam Oliver MA, MSt, NPQH, PGCE.

Mr Oliver studied English Language and Literature at the University of St Andrews, then took his PGCE at University of Oxford. His early teaching career included stints leading outdoor education and running a large sixth form. He joined St George's from Chosen Hill School, where he was part of the leadership team for six years, helping lead the school to its first ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted judgement.

His background has covered pastoral, curricular and extra-curricular leadership and his recent work has included leadership development and increasing the delivery of outstanding lessons. He took his NPQH - the National Professional Qualification for Headship - through London University's Institute of Education, and a Master’s degree in Creative Writing through University of Cambridge. He has been Vice President and President of AIBWSI, the Association of International Baccalaureate World Schools in Italy and is currently the Chair of RISA, the Rome International Schools Association.

It is an ongoing pleasure to be a part of the thriving and vibrant learning community of St George’s. I extend a warm welcome to new and returning parents and students. This is a superb time to be with us, as we bring in record examination and inspection results, and continue our ambitious drive to being a truly world-class school.
