Sixth Form

Key Stage 5: Sixth Form

The Sixth Form at St George’s provides an exceptional environment where students can pursue their academic interests and develop the skills necessary for future success. This holistic approach to education extends beyond academic achievement, equipping students to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving world with confidence and adaptability.

With small class sizes, students benefit from personalised support and expert instruction. The rigorous academic curriculum is complemented by a wide array of extracurricular opportunities, fostering intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. St George’s distinguishes itself by offering three globally acclaimed academic pathways:

  • The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP): Renowned as one of the most challenging pre-university qualifications, the IBDP is recognised by leading universities worldwide. It provides a broad and exploratory approach to learning and has been a cornerstone of St George’s Sixth Form since 1996.

  • A-Levels: Reintroduced for the 2025/2026 academic year, A-Levels offer students the opportunity for focused, specialised study. Highly regarded by universities globally, this pathway provides students with a competitive edge in their chosen fields.

  • The High School Diploma: Following accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in December 2023, St George’s is proud to award students a High School Diploma upon completion of their studies. Reflecting the school’s international ethos, the diploma is acknowledged by prestigious universities around the world.

In addition, a bespoke university and careers guidance program supports students in identifying their strengths, setting aspirational goals, and navigating the pathways of higher education and future careers.

St George’s Sixth Form is dedicated to fostering independence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. This vibrant and inclusive community offers every student a transformative experience, preparing them to thrive in the global arena.
