Transportation

St George’s provides a safe and comfortable school bus service that brings students to our La Storta and City Centre sites daily from across Rome.

A door to door service is available, and the annual cost is dependent on the distance from your home to the school. Each year, our school bus routes are re-planned according to demand, and pick-up times are circulated to parents shortly before the beginning of the new school year.

A late bus service is available from Tuesday to Thursday for La Storta pupils who wish to remain behind for after-school activities.

School bus services are available only to pupils aged 5 and above. In practice this means that the youngest children, Red and Green Dragons, are not permitted to ride on the school buses. Find out more about the school transport service including information on Fees.

School Year 2020-21

In order to ensure a safe environment for bus users, the school will initially only be offering a shuttle service (with pre-determined pick-up and drop-off points) and will be operating a smaller number of larger buses with up to 62 seats. This will enable specific seats to be taken out of use in order to enable requisite social distancing. We will regularly review the progress of the service with the aim of reintroducing the door-to-door service once the restrictions are lifted and it is safe to do so.
