St George's Take First and Second Place For The Keats-Shelley House Poetry Prize 2020

It has been a special week for two La Storta Junior School pupils who gained successful entries in this year’s Keats-Shelley Poetry Competition for all schools in Rome.

Congratulations to Michael, Year 4 for gaining first prize in his category with a pertinent poem, in Italian, entitled ‘Nuvole 2020’ and also to Sikandar, Year 2, for coming second in the same category for his poem entitled ‘Time’.

Their awards were announced during a virtual ceremony by guest judge Annelisa Alleva, poet and translator of Russian literature into Italian.

Keats-Shelley House, located in the heart of Rome, is a museum dedicated to the British Romantic Poets in Italy. Their annual Poetry Prize is now in its 29th installment.
