St George’s Becomes Founding Member of iGNIS Governance Network

St George’s British International School has become a founding member of iGNIS – the Governance Network for International Schools.

iGNIS is a newly established network to facilitate and promote good governance in international schools across the world. A recipient of a Beacon Status Award for governance in the school’s recent COBIS inspection, commitment to this network underlines the school’s continued drive to ensure strong, clear and secure governance that enables teaching staff and pupils to thrive in a dymanic school environment. It is the first global network of its kind specifically for governors within international schools. Participating schools will receive the opportunity for their governors and leaders to access extensive training and share best practices.

Mrs Flaminia Muratori, Chair of the Board of Governors of St George’s, said: “We are proud to be elected as a founding member of IGNIS. This achievement stands as a testament to our commitment to strengthening governance excellence and upholding the highest standards of international education."

The formation of iGNIS was driven by Mr Russell Speirs, founder of RSAcademics, one of the world’s leading educational consultancies that works closely with international schools to facilitate the recruitment and appointment of Principal’s, Heads and Senior leaders, as well as providing strategic and operational guidance.
