It is with great pleasure that St George’s announces that six pupils from last year’s Year 11 cohort have received a combined total of nine Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards for their remarkable results achieved in the May 2023 IGCSE examination session.
Camilla (12J) obtained the Highest Mark in the World for GCSE Fine Art.
Romy (12V), obtained the Highest Mark in Italy in an astonishing four subjects: IGCSE Biology, IGCSE Chemistry, IGCSE French and IGCSE Physics.
Other award recipients were Santiago (12V) – Highest Mark in Italy for IGCSE Mathematics, Bella – Highest Mark in Italy for IGCSE Chemistry (joint with Romy), Flora (12J) – Highest Mark in Italy for IGCSE and Rosa, who was previously in 11J, securing the Highest Mark in Italy for IGCSE History.
The results are a testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication of the pupils, and to the exceptional teaching delivered within the classroom, once again confirming St George’s as the leading school in Italy for examinations success.
St George's pupils are among the 2600 learners from 700 schools in 82 countries globally who are eligible to receive the award out of thousands of candidates who sat a Pearson Edexcel exam in the summer.
Pearson Exam Board:
“Every year we recognise and celebrate Pearson Edexcel learners around the world who have demonstrated academic excellence at the very highest levels in their exam performance. Our Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards (OPLAs) are presented to those learners in each exam series who have achieved the highest subject mark in their country, in the region, and around the world.”
The pupils will receive their formal certificates later in the academic year.
