Community Unites for International Evening

For the first time since June 2019, International Evening took place in-person at the La Storta campus last weekend, with a total of 97 nationalities represented when including both staff and pupils!

The special Opening Ceremony saw an array of pupils representing their countries as they dressed in traditional attire or national colours during the Flag Parade.

As they made their way through the countless International food stalls, pupils, parents, staff and alumni had the opportunity to taste various culinary dishes from all over the world. From savouries such as Caribbean Plantain, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Peruvian Stew, Indian Biryani and spicy Korean Meatballs to sweets like the English Victoria Sponge Cake and Australian Fairy Bread, guests were left feeling extremely satisfied and well fed!

The atmosphere throughout the evening was truly electric as the Year 5 and Year 6 Rock Bands took to the stage. Other performances included Indian, African, Scottish and Latin American dancing as well as mellow music sung by the Chinese Choir and even a hilarious comedy act performed by the Year 7 Drama Club!

International Evening came to a close with the Raffle Draw. Prizes included food hampers, restaurant vouchers, designer bags and fitness sessions. All ticket sales benefitted the school’s charity ZOA (Zambian Orphanage Appeal).
