Celebrating Summer Success: Outstanding IB and IGCSE Results at St George’s

St George’s British International School is delighted to announce a summer of exceptional academic achievement, with students excelling in both the IB Diploma Programme and IGCSE examinations.

This year’s IB Diploma students achieved a 100% pass rate, with every eligible student earning the full Diploma. The average score of 36 points places St George’s among the top 100 IB schools worldwide, continuing a long-standing tradition of academic excellence and global university destinations.

Our IGCSE results were equally impressive: over 48% of all grades awarded were at A* equivalent (grades 8 or 9). This compares to the national figure of 12% in England — meaning St George’s students were four times more likely to achieve top grades than their peers in UK schools.

“We are incredibly proud of all our students,” said Vice-Principal and Head of Senior School Mary-Clare Startin. “These results reflect not only their hard work and commitment, but also the support of our outstanding staff and the strength of our academic and pastoral provision. Whether in the IB, newly introduced A-Levels or IGCSEs, we continue to nurture each student’s potential with care, challenge and ambition.”

St George’s offers both the IB Diploma and A Levels in the Sixth Form, providing bespoke pathways for students aiming at top universities in the UK, Europe, North America and beyond.

These 2025 summer results reaffirm St George’s reputation as one of Europe’s leading British international schools — where every student is known, valued, and inspired to succeed.
