It has been a busy period of Maths competitions and St George's is delighted to announce the winners of this year’s AIBWSI (Association of IB World Schools in Italy) Maths Story Competition. 

• In Year 6, Sofia (La Storta Junior School) won 2nd place with her story, “Mission Possible”.
• In Year 7, there were many competitive entries and Annabella’s (7M) “789” was joint 3rd while Cristiano (7J) won joint 1st place with his story, “Mission Geometry”.
• In Year 8, Giulio (8M) achieved 1st place overall with “Laika is my Star”.

Six other international schools from around Italy entered stories across the three age categories. Congratulations to all the pupils who took part and we really enjoyed seeing their creative mix of Maths knowledge, imaginative story writing skills and accompanying illustrations.
