Years 8 and 9 Paris trip, 14-17 March

From Friday 14th to Monday 17th March, a group of 31 students from year 8 and 9 went to Paris on a combined French and Chinese trip, accompanied by Monsieur Fouilleul, Mrs Wallace and Mrs Bertuzzi.

They all had an amazing time and were lucky to discover the beauty of Paris under a beautiful sunshine and blue sky. The French and Chinese groups enjoyed some activities in common, such as visitingNotre-Dame de Paris, la Tour Eiffel, a boat trip on the river Seine and watching a French film at the cinema...

They also did separate visits to focus either on French culture (Le Louvre, Le Palais de la Dévouverte, and eating delicious "galettes" and "crêpes", bien sûr!) or Chinese civilisation (Musée du Quai Branly, lunch and shopping in China Town...). All students seem to have had a great experience in Paris and are already asking where we will be taking them next year, which is obviously a positive sign!

School trips are always unforgettable experiences for pupils. It increases their motivation and interest towards the subject, strengthen their friendship with their peers and for teachers, it is a very valuable opportunity to get to know our students outside the school context and to share new adventures and discoveries with them. As teachers of Saint George's British international School, we felt extremely privileged to accompany such a lovely and fun group to Paris and we already look forward to the next language trip!  Merci à tous!

Monsieur Fouilleul
