Year Nine Art and D&T trip to the MAXXI

The whole of Year Nine recently descended upon Rome’s Museum of 21st Century Art & Architecture. They explored Zaha Hadid’s incredible gallery environment  as part of their ongoing Art and D&T project ‘Artist-Architects’.

They also studied works form the permanent collection, as well as the ongoing ‘Transformers’ and ‘Istanbul’ exhibitions. They avidly drew, wrote, photographed and videoed their way around the entire site.

The research that they produced during the trip will support their classwork on F floor for the rest of this term. The visit has also been used as the key stimulus for a new critical and creative writing project in their Italian lessons.
