St George's British International School announces new city campus

St George’s British International School in Rome announced that its city campus will be moving to new premises in September 2017.

The Junior school will relocate from Via Spallanzani, a building inaugurated by Princess Alexandra in 2002, to Via di Santa Maria Mediatrice, Rome 00165, close to the Vatican in the south-west of central Rome. The school’s main campus will remain in La Storta.

Over the course of this year, the 1500m2 building will be completely refurbished to create a state-of-the art learning environment. As well as brand-new classrooms, pupils will benefit from the use of two football pitches, an impressive indoor gymnasium, a 400-seater auditorium and a 25m swimming pool.

Speaking about the move, Martyn Hales, Principal, said:
We are delighted to have secured fantastic premises in such a central location. Our mission is to deliver a world-class education to each and every one of our pupils, and our new city campus will go a long way to helping us achieve this.
