2014 Spring Concert, 8th March

It was a fabulous evening enjoyed by performers and audience alike. It was an honour to be receiving the accolades on behalf of all the performers, and here is a selection of some of the comments that I received after the performance:

“The concert was wonderful, the coordination perfect and everything went well.”

“I just wanted to let you know, as I'm sure you've already heard, that the concert went really well last night and the audience really loved it.  Thank you for a great concert, we all really enjoyed and it was an amazing concert for us Year 13s to end with.”

“I am sure that you have had reports about yesterday evening's concert - it was an enormous success. The pupils were fantastic and there were a number of truly inspiring moments.”

“There is no doubt in my mind that the venue added to the evening. The quality of sound was by far the best I have ever experienced at a school concert and the stage had room to spare!”

“Thank you all for a superb evening of music, the fruit of wonderful talent and an enormous amount of work.  It was absolutely awesome!!”

“The concert was magnificent! It was a great success … it meant a lot to me as it was my last school concert in such a venue.”

“It was spectacular!”

“It was truly a great evening and a beautiful venue: the acoustic was great and the stage was enormous.”

“All the pupils did their best at the concert to raise the roof so that you all might have just caught a note or two.”

“We had a lot of fun and I have to say that I received some wonderful feed-back from students and from parents I met after show.”

“I just wanted to say thank you to all of you involved in the concert on Saturday. The whole show was excellent.  Well done to all students, especially to all those talented Yr13s.”

“…brought me to tears.”

“We are proud that our daughter was part of the performance and had one of the most memorable experiences of her time in school.”

“I wanted to thank you for the incredible concert! It went so smoothly, or so it seemed to us audience.  The children were fantastic, serious (even the young ones) and very talented. And of course the venue helped for it to look like a professional music concert!”

To all of these glowing comments I would like to add my own congratulations to the performers, and, of course, to my colleagues for stepping into the breach. The students have rehearsed extremely hard over many months and I am very proud of them all.  I am particularly grateful to our Year 13 students who have been such wonderful role models and musical leaders for the last two years.
