La Storta Senior School

The Vice Principal & Head of Senior School is Ms Mary-Clare Startin BA, MA, PGCE.

Ms Startin is the Vice-Principal and Head of Senior School, having gained teaching and leadership experience in a wide range of schools in the UK independent sector. She completed her undergraduate degree in English and European Literature at Warwick University and then studied for her PGCE at the University of Cambridge.

She is dedicated to ensuring that students leave St George’s with a wide range of opportunities available to them having accrued the skills, attitudes and qualifications that prepare them for the world beyond school but also having developed the character and values that ensure they seek to put their skills, talents and opportunities to work for the good of others as well as themselves.

St George's is an inspiring place for our pupils to learn. They benefit from being part of a nurturing, welcoming community whilst being surrounded by the amazing history, art and culture of the city of Rome and all the educational possibilities that it offers. I am truly excited to be part of this community and working to ensure all our pupils have a stimulating and fulfilling educational experience.
