“Shut up” I shouted. “Shut up or I’ll hit you!”
It was 6:00 in the morning and my cat-face alarm was ringing. I picked
it up and stuffed it under my pillow. “Oh no, it’s Monday!”
I moaned. My alarm clock had FINALLY stopped ringing so I pulled the
blankets over my head and closed my eyes again.
When I opened them again, I took out my alarm clock and tried to focus
my eyes to see the flashing red numbers. “Argh!” I screamed.
“7:00, we’re leaving in ten minutes!” I jumped out
of bed, shoved on my uniform and in five minutes I was ready to leave.
We just caught the bus before it was leaving.
We spend as normal an hour on our tiny bus where we’re all squashed
up. We arrive at school and I get to my tutor room, D7 where we do registration.
Registration is a great time to get together with your friends, find
out the latest gossip and make appointments.
Then the bell goes to show that now is the dreaded time. It’s
the beginning of another school day. Well, actually it’s a day
six so it’s not so bad. Oh well, Maths first. I won’t tell
you about maths because it’s just the same boring old sums. I
won’t even tell you about English because you might fall asleep.
It’s break now. Finally something interesting to talk about!
Breaktime is more like “let’s run to the tuck shop and
try to get there first”. It’s still a good time to play
but it’s not very long. This breaktime I had to go to the library
to print some homework. Oh yes, I didn’t tell you about the library.
The library is my favourite place. You can study, read and go on the
computer. The library is so big and full of books. As I told you before,
break is really short and the bell has already gone.
Now it’s Technology with Mr. Thombs. My favourite subject with
my favourite teacher. Mr. Thombs is so funny. We’re making chairs
at the moment. I’m working with Susie and Alessandra. Alessandra
was cutting the cardboard (because there are lots of hearts on our chair);
I was rolling up newspaper (because the legs and arms of our chair are
made of rolled-up newspaper with lots of glue) and Susie had to make
swords she would use for her play tonight. Next was Geography. Geography’s
not so bad at the moment because we’re studying the Olympic Games
and it’s really nice. Now to the interesting facts!
Yipee! It’s lunchtime. I don’t do any activities on Monday lunchtimes, so I just chatted with my friends. sometimes we borrow a volleyball and play with that. Lunch is great but the lunch room is so noisy you can’t even hear your own thoughts.
Then the bell goes and it’s PE. I am the only one in my class who doesn’t really like PE. It’s just I get so tired! First we have cross-country, which I sort of like. It’s really hard though. We have to run so much. I came 11th out of, I think, 27. That’s OK for me. Then we do football out on the big field. We do football with Ms. Andrew and volleyball with Ms. McClaren. I like football though I keep on getting hurt. We do PE for an hour and then go to the changing rooms to get changed. After that, I have to run for the bus if I want a good seat.
