I walked into our tutor room, threw my bag down and walked over to
my friends.
“Hi,” I said and sat down. It was registration on Friday
and I had only seven lessons between me and freedom. The bell rang and
I met a friend and walked up to E-floor for science. Our teacher, Ms.
Hodson, walked up, “OK, come on class.” We trooped in, split
into our separate table groups and sat down.
“Right class, today we are going to do the experiment that we
set up last lesson. Come over here and I’ll show you how to do
it.”
The experiments became quite fun after loads of water was spilt onto
my friend’s book, wrecking his work.
We had a Keystage 3 assembly after that and Ms. Shiel was talking about Mother’s Day. Funniest bit was when Asu, Lorenzo and Rethabile did a rap with Ms. Shiel and everyone was laughing like mad. The rap was about Mother’s Day as well as the assembly. Ms. Shiel was the one who actually said it and the others were the ones who walked around like proper rappers. The other thing that made it really funny was that Ms. Shiel said it really weirdly and when she came to words like ‘mother’, she would say ‘mudder’ and so on.
Our next lesson was PE, which is by far my best lesson as I really like sport. We do a different sport each lesson and it goes rugby, volleyball, rugby, volleyball and this lesson was volleyball. I think that we came about third. Then at the very end, we had cross-country. “Now” said Mr. Hackney. “We’re going to do nearly exactly the same as last lesson except that you have to run around the pitch twice at the end.”
We were all about half dead when we finished, but in spite of our words we did our best and ran the whole way. Asu still came first as usual and we were left to take the rest of the places. The only thing that did change was that the people who went really slowly on purpose, and came last, got a detention which was to come at lunch and run around it again.
We finally finished, got changed and walked, sweaty and tired to our next lesson, history. History was alright. We were answering questions about some medieval writing which really hard to read.
Finally it was lunch which is probably the best part of the day, as the food is so nice. I had an ice-cream, pasta with sauce on and some meat. I ate it really quickly as I had to run to my electric guitar lesson. My teacher made it run on for about ten minutes which made me late for my next lesson.
I ran to it as fast as I could and came in gasping for breath. It
was double English which I like as we have a really good teacher and
we are doing the play called A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which
we act out in the lesson and is hilarious (it’s a comedy). Also,
for the last lesson, we go into the library to read a book that we have
brought from home which makes it twice as good because I really like
reading.
