The worst part of a school day is waking up. Everything else is acceptable – getting dressed, brushing teeth and having breakfast. At breakfast nobody really makes conversation, as we are all still half-asleep.
However, the story changes as soon as I get out of the car, and enter the school gates, my eyes open, my legs click into place and I think of what awaits me.

I love the hustle and bustle of the school corridor as a change to the silence at the breakfast table. I meet up with a friend and we go together to registration. In registration I look to see what I have got first: Maths with Mr. Atherton. I accidently said (OUT LOUD!) "God, I'm bored" - I honestly meant to say "God, I'm tired!" but it came out all wrong. Mr Atherton was merciless - the rest of the lesson he was making jokes about me... let's hope he has forgotten about it.

At break time I decide to buy a bite to eat at the tuck shop. Two minutes later I come out with a hot, crunchy pizza with ham and melting cheese on top. Delicious! I walk up to the football pitch and join in with the game.

Finally lunch arrives. I am starving. In PE we had to jog two extra laps because someone had tripped another boy up in rugby. For lunch I choose a plate of pasta alle vongole and some fish. I also take an ice-cream for pudding.

After lunch we go up to the English class. You might expect English to be boring. Instead I enjoy it as we have an exciting teacher and a bunch of my friends go to it with me.

Last lesson, instead, is German. There is nothing really interesting that I can say about that!

But at the end of the day I think back and say to myself: “Well, it wasn’t really that bad, was it?”
