Principal's Welcome
I am delighted to welcome you to St George’s. Founded in 1958, St George’s is one of the leading British International Schools in Europe. At St George’s we embrace our rich history and with close to 100 nationalities in our student body this makes us one of the most international schools in the world.
We are proud of our pupils who achieve amongst the best results in the region in their academic studies, going on to the very best universities around the world. Our dedicated, passionate staff inspire our learners to be the best they can be both in the classroom and beyond. We encourage participation in a wide range of activities beyond the classroom in music, drama, design, and in other areas such as community service.
Our sports facilities and programme are of an extremely high quality with pupils participating in fixtures and tournaments in Italy and across Europe. Our productions and performances are breathtaking in both their ambition and scope. The artwork that adorns the school would not look out of place in any professional gallery. And, perhaps unsurprisingly for a school with such close links to the city’s diplomatic community, we have consistently excelled in the international stage in the Model United Nations (MUN) programme.
We are exceptionally proud of the young people we are helping to develop at St George’s. Our pupils are welcoming, polite, compassionate and serious about their academic studies. They are also convinced that they have the capacity to make a difference in the world, which is evidenced through excellent work that the pupils put into supporting the school’s orphanage in Zambia.
