Principal's Welcome

From the foundation of the school in 1958 we have had a clear vision of what we hope to achieve for our students. We want our Georgians to reach the highest academic standards through being analytical, critical and compassionate thinkers so they can access the world’s best universities. We want them to be able to relate their classroom experience to the world outside so they become informed, active participants in local and world affairs. We want them to be truly international in their outlook, respectful of other cultures and attitudes and conscious of their shared humanity. We want them to be confident leaders, ready to take a risk and make a difference in the challenging 21st century world they will inherit.

For this to happen, we take the best of British educational practice and from the rest of the world to create a wide range of opportunities for learning. Our formal curriculum culminates in IGCSE exams in Year 11 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma at the end of Year 13, qualifications that are highly respected by all organisations around the world.

But St George’s school offers so much more than this. Please explore our website to find out what our young people are able to experience. Whether it is exploring the vast cultural heritage of Rome and Italy or representing the school in one of our many sporting teams, tackling a peak in the Alps or supporting our orphanage in Zambia, we want our Georgians at every stage of their school life to be challenged and stimulated so they can become the best they can be.
