2013 Antonino Lombardo dance workshops

St George's were delighted to welcome dancer Antonino Lombardo to La Storta, where he spent two days working with both the Junior and the Senior school.  On Tuesday, Antonino led two workshops; one with Y5&6 boys and then one with the SGLS Dance Club.  Then on Wednesday he worked with the Senior School to create a new piece for the dance group, teaching a mixture of modern and street dance.

Antonino Lombardo started dancing at the age of 19 at his local dance school in Palermo. Since then he has worked professionally as a dancer all over Italy and further afield.  In 2006 he was a dancer for Gwen Stefani at the Cannes MTV awards, and in 2007 he returned to Rome to take part in Italy's famous tv programme 'Amici di Maria De Filippi' where he was a finalist of the series.  In the summer of 2012 he choreographed his first show 'The Show Mazz Go On' in collaboration with 'i grande maestro di Rai 1' Gianni Mazza.  He has now started his own company 'DifferentPrint'.
